
Diane Abbett
President/CEO Optima Healthcare Insurance Services
As President and Chief Executive Officer of Optima Healthcare Insurance Services (Optima), Ms. Abbett is responsible for the operations and management of Optima and California Healthcare Insurance Company, Inc., RRG (CHI). Optima was formed in 1997 as an insurance brokerage and service company and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of CHI.
Named President and Chief Executive Officer in 2013, Ms. Abbett was instrumental in the start-up of Optima and has served in many capacities since 1997 including Controller, Chief Financial Officer, Senior Vice President of Underwriting, and Executive Vice President.
Prior to the formation of Optima, Ms. Abbett served as Accounting Manager for California Hospitals Affiliated Insurance Services (CHAIS). Her professional background also includes four years with a Big-6 public accounting firm.
Ms. Abbett currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Californians Allied for Patient Protection (CAPP) and holds a current Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license in the state of California as well as a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from California State University Sacramento.
