Tamara Dostal

Senior Claims Specialist

Tamara Dostal joined Optima Healthcare Insurance Services in May 2004, bringing over 18 years of experience in the investigation, evaluation, management and resolution of high exposure and complex Professional Liability and General Liability claims. She is based in the Newport Beach office providing claims service to both Northern and Southern California insureds.

Tamara’s experience includes over 14 years with The Doctors’ Company handling medical malpractice claims; over 3 years with Weil & Company for Lawyer’s Mutual Insurance Company handling legal malpractice claims, as well as several years doing investigative work and handling general liability claims.

Tamara has had supervisorial roles, led training courses and coordinated project development, amongst her vast experience and skills in her prior positions. She has taken several of the CPCU courses working towards her designation.

Tamara, a California native, earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice with emphasis in Law from California State University, Sacramento.
